Sock Frenzy
Socks are fun. Socks are quick. Socks are warm. Socks are really friggin addictive! I picked up a ball of Socks That Rock in Tacoma and you know what, they really do rock! I started these babies in the car on the way to Portland and the poor husband had to listen to me profess how much these socks rock the entire time. It was sooo much fun to see the pattern emerge... in fact, when I got tired of talking to myself I made him partake in the conversation. When I'd ask "What do these socks do?" he'd dutifully answer "They rock, dear". Poor man...
I had so much fun knitting those rocking socks that I immediately grabbed a couple of balls of Koigu that my sis-in-law had picked out on an earlier trip to Portland. I made them the same as before, in a chunky 2x2 rib accompanied by my favorite heel and toe construction. As you can see, these are very much her colors and not mine.
While I was knitting the socks featured above I developed a bit of a fetish whereas I couldn't stop trying them on my wrists. The ribs made them so cushy and warm, perfectly hugging the shape of my arm. So by the time I finished the 2nd pair of socks I reached for more stash Koigu cause it was decided... I must make arm socks next. What else could I do?Like I said, socks are really friggin addictive!
